Airport working on and off!!!

Just got a new router and updated to latest OSX (10.5.5), not sure which one caused this problem. The net connection seems to be working on and off and is fixed by simply clicking on the airport icon on the top left side of the menu bar and letting it re-find my wireless signal. I am using a belkin N router...

Any ideas on how to fix this?
