I am buying my brother in law a wireless card for his G3 Powerbook and I was wondering if a Airport Extreme would work or do I have to buy a normal Airport card? Thanks

Which PowerBook G3? The original PowerBook G3, and the Wallstreet and Lombard models do not support internal Apple AirPort cards. The last model (Pismo) with FireWire ports has internal support for AirPort (not Extreme) and will work with any AirPort Base Station (including Extreme.) If you have an earlier model, you can get a PCMCIA wireless card like the lucent card mentioned above, and it will also work with any AirPort Base Station.
