AirPrint: IPad suddenly not recognizing printers

It used to work just fine. A Canon Selphy and a Brother laser jet both accepted print jobs from my iPad Air 2 (iOS 11). Now, a message saying no AirPrint printers can be found. This is very weird. Rebooted both printers; same happens. Help.
