AirTag Leather Loop - Water Resistant?

I’m trying to buy a loop for my AirTag. I want to put this on the outside of my backpack, which I carry everywhere — sometimes could get slightly wet due to rain. I try to have umbrella, but sometimes could get damp.


I really like the leather loop on Apple’s website but have reservations about a couple drops of water now and then on it. Should I go for leather or the cheaper, yet not as classy, polyurethane?

I had the same question about weather resistance but didn’t get any answers. No one really knows yet I guess. So far it’s ok but that was summer time. Winter will test it!

Great! I'm in the Northeast (United States) this fall and can test it out with the leather loop. I picked up the leather loop in Baltic Blue (though Forest Green looks pretty spectacular...)
