AirTags unreachable

Anybody else having this error? Using iPhone 12 Pro on 14.5 with 2 sets of AirTags (Friday delivery of 4 and bought another 4 from Apple store last night).

AirTags all pair correctly, have battery, but I can’t use Precision Finding (yes location services on, precision location on) NOR can I make the tag play a sound when it’s right in front of me.

Anyone have this issue?

Yes, setup two in my 4-pack and neither worked, 5mins after setup. Returning the lot fro refund, and waiting a bit before considering buying again.

FYI, the first one had one of the three battery pins not popping out, couldn't be fixed. And the second one just doesn't work: no sound played after the first test, and neither my iPhone 12 Pro nor my other half's 12 Pro pick it up.

Duff set.
