Adding an airtag into our luggage should not be an issue.

I guess we can then see if the luggage has made the flight etc.

However - if the airline loses the bag and we activate the lost item to try and track it what happens?

After three days it will start to bleep? Or can we turn that off once we have 'found it' and then reset the three day clock?

What concerns me is having a luggage bleeping when perhaps it is with an airline being moved or perhaps with a courier being delivered to my home or hotel?

Having a noise coming from inside luggage might not be the best thing!

You don’t need to activate lost item mode to try to locate your bag.

Assuming someone with an iPhone goes near the bag then you will be able to locate it with the find my app. That way you should be able to work with the airline to locate it.

If your bag is lost because the luggage tag comes off then this could greatly increase your chances of it being found, for example.

If it’s been stolen then I would assume the tag will be discarded so you are out of luck.

ah okay,

However that probably doesn't help with the bleeping after three days. Which in a secure area might not be too good!
