hi, would appreciate some help

airtunes from mac to mac via bonjour
can we do this?

on my mbp i can see and access my imac's itunes library via wifi, but i dont see the remote speakers icon on the bottom right, figured shouldnt be too farfetched to play any song thru speakers connected to the imac, played from the mbp that is...

another way to look at it is like using an imac (or any mac) as a gigantic airport express...

I don't think it works that way.

If you want to plays the songs stored on Mac A through the speakers connected to Mac B: Share the songs on Mac A in the iTunes Preferences. Mac A will show up in the tree on Mac B. Select songs and play them.

Speakers connected to Mac B won't show up at the bottom of iTunes on Mac A. Only speakers connected to an Airport Express or Apple TV will show up down there.

Edit: Just read your post again. You already knew about sharing! I guess your trying to do more of a push than a pull, but I think you'll need an Airport Express or Apple TV for that!
