Airvideo alternaives? no longer works over internet

I used to be able to use Airvideo over the internet without ever having to do any port forwarding, etc or messing with anything. After using windows 10 it works on the same network but not over the internet anymore even with an external modem with port forwarding, etc etc... Are there any IOS 11 apps that can stream videos over LTE or interenet? I have tried VLC but it is ugly and does not work too well either.

I'm using Plex. Give it a try, it's far more than I expected.
