I know no one out there knows the answer to this but I'm wondering what you all think about whether you will be able to stream video to the Apple TV from apps like AirVideo on the iPad. The broader question here is will Airplay only run from the ipad's Videos app, or will it run from any video playing app on the iPad?

It seems that it might run from any app if that button by the volume control is an iOS-wide feature. This would be a great scenario because, I would no longer need to keep hacking my Apple TV to run XBMC. Instead, I could send non-Apple TV approved files (e.g., avi) to my Apple TV through the iPad via the AirVideo app available in the app store.

What do you guys and gals think about that?

Was going to say I just made a topic on this 10 minutes ago, but that's a good point. With that stream-to-tv feature on the iPad we might be able to achieve this. It'd be really great to just get a version of Air Video shoehorned into the apple TV itself though.
