AJA System Test.. am i missing something?

Im a little confused with AJA System Test...

I did a Read/Write Test with my Media Drive Raid. Which is 3 Hitachi 1TB drives in Raid 0.

Using NTSC DV25 with a file size of 1GB I get Write speed of 153.4MB/s and Read speed of 156.2MB.

Then I did another test Using the 720x486 8bit Video frame Size and got a Write speed of 243.8MB/s and Read 228.9MB/s

The last one I did was the 2k file size and I got a Write speed of 241.2MB/s and Read of 242.1MB/s

for all I used the 1GB file size

So why do I get better speeds with higher formats? That dosen't seem right to me.. wouldn't the NTSC DV25 be the fastest?
