Since Bare Feats uses the AJA System Test in so many of his Disk tests. I thought I might try it and run a few Tests on my 5,1 cMP. All Tests run with a 16GB file size.

1) WD Black HDD in HDD Bay
2) Seagate 3.5" SSHD in HDD Bay
3) Samsung 840 EVO in HDD Bay
4) Samsung 840 Pro mounted on Apricorn Velocity Duo x2 in PCIe Slot 2
5) Samsung SM951 mounted on Lycom Card in PCIe Slot 4

I found the results interesting. And for those on a budget, The SSHD really does perform better than the WD Black HDD. PCIe SSD certainly is a huge improvement over the SATA SSD but the SM951 is in a whole other league. The results for the SSDs are pretty close to what I got with the BlackMagic Speed Test.
