Ever since IOS 13, my alarm/ringer volumes keep changing by themselves to max level. It happens sporadically, but it's really annoying and/or (ahem...) "alarming".
It's been freaking out my wife because we wake up at different times, and I usually have my alarm set to a low level that only I can hear.
Here're some of the things I've done to check/troubleshoot:
Go to Settings - Sounds & Haptics and changed the *ringer* volume to a low setting. Also turned on and off Change with Buttons.
When the volume jumps to max, if I go back to this screen, I'll see that the ringer volume is set to max.
Again, this can happen regardless of whether I have Change with Buttons on or off.
Go to the Clock - Alarm window. Edit my alarm(s), and on the screen where I choose the Sound, adjust volume manually while it's playing.
Save.
Sometimes, when I go right back into the alarm and play the Sound, the volume is suddenly at max (as if I didn't save it). But sometimes, if I do this, it *is* at the level I originally set it to.
Sometimes, I use my phone with Airpods, and sometimes I use it through CarPlay. At no time do I ever set any volume for anything to max.
The frustrating thing is that it happens at random, so it makes it really hard to troubleshoot.
And yes, I've rebooted several times, in different combinations (change volume then reboot...set Change with Buttons on/off and reboot, etc).
And yes, I didn't have this problem prior to IOS 13, and it persists with 13.2.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
