Is the alarm ringtone volume controlled by the "ringer" volume which u can adjust with the volume buttons or is there a setting to change its volume separately?

I always just control it by adjusting the ringer volume. I'm not sure if there's any other way to do so...
Yeah that's what I do but I was wondering if there was a way to have its volume locked and not changed by the volume buttons while still allowing me to change the volume of other things with the volume buttons
I believe there's an option under settings to have the volume buttons control the ringer or to keep it separate. I've always used the ringer volume to control my alarm but have noticed that when in the silent/vibration mode, it still plays along with a nice awakening vibrate (my preferred method).
