Album alphabet scrolling

i updated to 1.1.1 and since then i've also installed other apps like customise, summerboard etc so im unsure about where the problem actually lies

Basically when i go into ipod > albums there is no alphabet on the side for me to scroll. if i go into artists the alphabet is there and the same with songs.
right now all the albums are sorted alphabetically but there is no way for me to reach Z for example, quickly other than to keep tapping the iphone until i reach the bottom.

is this because of the 1.1.1 firmware or what? how can i fix this???

I just restored again to see if that would fix the problem but that made it worse. Now the vertical alphabet scroll has disappeared when i look at Artist and Songs.

Any solutions???
