I don't think so based on some of the comments.

I went through my iTunes library recently and added most of the album art that was missing (pasting most of it over from my Synergy cache) so I'm not using the widget for that; just for keeping an eye on what's playing while I'm playing SuDoku or Poker on the Dashboard
