Well finally got that job i wanted :D but they want to do a hair drug test on me and I was reading up on how they can detect alcohol in your hair now

I have been scrounging the for information because I am going back to my alma matter to meet up with some frat brothers and if you don't know where that is going to lead to…

My question if anyone knows how long does it take for the ethanol to appear in your hair?

I already plan on drinking way less but havent' been able to find an answer for this don't want to give them any ammunition they can use to deny me the job.

Why would alcohol be of any concern? It's legal, unless you show up drunk, I don't see the problem.

@ PlaceofDis might as well not go

@ SamIchi the concern is that I have read was because of chronic drinkers with alcoholism and the problems associated with it

I don't drink a lot not my nature, but I do occasional binge (I know not good either)

From what I understand, drugs will show up in your hair for months. I guess alcohol is the same, but it really shouldn't be a problem, assuming you're of legal drinking age.

it takes 3-5 days before the part of the hair that contains the new ethanol is above the skin surface and can be used for analysis.
it gets added to the hairs as soon as it is in your blood stream.

Thanks Leareth for the info, my liver hates you BTW ;)
