CPU: Corei7 2.7 ghz - 16 gigs memory
Symptom: When I returned from the Apple store last night they had placed Snow Leopard on my internal boot drive.
What probably went wrong:
I was at the point where the machine gives you the welcome video and it allows you the option of copying data from any drives in the system so I copied the contents of my Lion Firewire 800 external.
Probably a bad idea - it said it was going to take 6-7 hours - not in terms of time but because Lion was the boot OS on that drive.
The problems:
When I woke up this morning it saw fit to use my Lion desktop background from the other partition, most of iLife (except Garageband) wouldn't launch anymore.
Solution:
I have the possibility of just booting off of my Lion external and using SuperDuper to copy my Lion install to my internal drive, or I could wipe the internal drive YET AGAIN and then install Lion from clean.
It's pretty obvious any steps I take will be long and somewhat annoying. Anyone have any other options?
