Alerts added to iCal from Google?

Wow.. I've done a lot of searching and just can't figure this out...

Every event that is added to a google calendar that I am subscribed to comes into my iCal with an alert!

I've unchecked all the notifications etc. that I can find...

Any ideas that I may have missed?

I was having this issue recently. I had to turn off "automatically set notifications on invite". Your notifications should now look something like this

yup.. thats exactly how mine looks.. yet it puts a reminder in everytime it comes into iCal...
