in iOS:6, when i'm talking on my iPhone, if I get an email, SMS message etc my phone will vibrate, which is very displeasing and I miss what who I'm talking to is saying.

And today during an important call to my bank, a timer went off in my face, vibrating and the charm that goes with it. Annoying!

Has Apple changed any of this behaviour in iOS:7?

If I'm ever on a call and a text comes through, I get the alert sound through the main speaker at the top on iOS6. I don't have vibrate on though.

Good news for those disturbed by alerts during calls

As of today (October 26, 2013) the AutoSilent App available on the App store has a new update which will allow for audible alerts to be muted while on a call. I just tried it and it works. Great job AutoSilent!

The good thing too is that in iOS 7 Apple turned down the volume and intensity of in call alerts--so now while they are still there they are much less jarring than before.
