Alesis HR 16 Drum Machine?

Hi Everyone:
I'm new to Logic Express 8...
I'm very familiar with programming and manipulating the old Alesis HR 16.
I like all the different drums sounds offered in Ultrabeat.
I'm planning on learning my way around Ultrabeat but in the meantime was wondering the following:
Is it possible connect the HR 16 with Logic so that the HR 16's pads can trigger the different drums sounds available in Ultrabeat? I'd like to have the sounds offered in Ultrabeat but program on the HR 16.
I hope I'm saying this in an understandable way.

Many years ago I transfered my favorite patterns from Alesis SR (?) 16 Drum machine to Cubase. I believe should be not much difference in Logic because trigger pads should match sound. I did it thru midi. I set clock control of Cubase from external source, clicked record, and when I start play on Alesis it recorded midi data. I hope it will help.
