Alesis Multimix Firewire

Hi,
I recently bought an Alesis Multmix8 Firewire and I am trying to get it setup on my Macbook Pro. I have installed the drivers etc. and got it connected but my mac doesn't recognize the device. Any advice? Has anybody had similar trouble?

Hi, I have a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.8.4 and just bought an Alesis MultiMix 16 firewire.

I have a cable that goes FW400 to FW800, and using the Adapter ThunderBolt to FW800.

But, I can't get the MacBook to recognize the Alesis Mixer.

Did you got it working? how?
