Alicia Keys and Jack White have recorded the theme tune for the next James Bond film, Quantum of Solace.

R&B singer Keys has teamed up with the star of rock bands White Stripes and The Raconteurs for Another Way to Die, the first duet in Bond theme history.

The announcement follows speculation that the job would go to British stars Amy Winehouse, Duffy or Leona Lewis.

Quantum of Solace, which will see Daniel Craig return as 007, will be released in November.

White has written, produced and played drums on the track.

The film's producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said: "We are delighted and pleased to have two such exciting artists as Jack and Alicia."

The US musicians "were inspired by our film to join together their extraordinary talents in creating a unique sound for Quantum of Solace", the producers said.
BBC.

Cool

Heard it. Hate it.

When I first heard You Know My Name, I wasn't a fan, but I didn't dislike it. Now it ranks somewhere near the top. I don't think this one ever will (but I will acknowledge it if it does improve in the standings).

It's beyond dreadful. Real pity, as the movie looks beyond awesome. You Know My Name was actually, a superb Bond Theme. It had a hint of the Bond theme, a theatrical presence, it had a dramatic musical arc.

This new one lacks all of them. It's just a piece of sound. Pity - there's plenty of artists out there who could pull a stunning theme out of the bag if asked.

I like it.

My boyfriend tells me it doesn't sound "very Bond-ish," but I wouldn't know, never seen one of the movies. Still like the song though...

I don't like this. I'm an on/off Keys fan too but I just don't like the sound of this one. No sir-ee

I remember You Know My Name being quite hated when Casino Royale came out, certainly among my friends. However now, it's quite the opposite. This will grow on people.

voices don't go together at all... it sure won't become a "classic" like "goldeneye" "diamonds are forever","goldfinger","live and let die","the spy who loved me" etc. which are instantly rememberable

this will be more like the theme song to "the world is not enough"

I still hate You Know My Name.
Eurgh.

Awesome title animation graphics sequence. Mute it and play Radiohead - Big Boots over the top.

I'm just getting a cycled loop on that JW only version. I like the background beat and melody, which is rather gritty, but I've heard the song and don't think it's great. It may be better depending on how it fits into the film and what the tone is following the initial scene.

I had my sister, brother, and my roommate take a listen to it. Everyone (including myself) thought it was very bad. I mean really, why would they say... you know that sounds good, let's put it in a $150 million+ movie. I also do not like the recent trend of not including the title of the Bond movies in the song.
