All apps crash on opening....

Hey all, got a 3GS here, and all of a sudden, all apps close on opening, apart from the resident apps such as app store, safari, messages, calender & calculator etc.

Anyone know why this may be happening and why?

Ive tried holding down the on/off button and menu button whilst the phone is turned on, too force a restart, but this doesn't solve the issue unfortunately

Problem solved...

I tried syncing with my MBP but it wouldnt show up in iTunes, and messages appearing on the phone saying that this device wasnt supported etc.

So took a toothbrush to the part on my phone where the USB wire would connect and gave it a good clean.

Connected to iTunes first time, sync'd and now works great.
