I opened my Applications folder, hit :apple:-A, then :apple:-O.

The result? A lot of chugging, obviously. But it launched every app, and stayed stable. Expose and Spaces is a sight to behold under this circumstance.

Here are the photos: Link

Specs:

17" G4 PowerBook 1.67GHz running 10.5.1
167MHz front-side bus (compare that to todays 800MHz on the MacBook Pro)
2GB of DDR2 RAM
ATI Radeon 9600 w/ 128MB VRAM.

Impressive.

After reading your post I decided to do the same on my Macbook Pro. The machine beach balled for about two minutes because it opened about fifty applications. Hilarious! Once everything opened it ran pretty decently. Spaces struggles, though.

An Iced Earth fan! Nice!

These are burning times... and I think we can agree that Leopard stands alone :)

It would be interesting to see people with other configurations to do the same thing, and post their results.

I'll try it on my Rev A 17" iMac Core Duo later.
