ALL Authorizations and Plugins from G4 to G5?

How do I move everything from the g4 to the g5?

This seems like a simple question, but with ALL my software and authorizations and plugins...

Any Ideas?

1) Pay apple, they have a pro user fee for $99

2) Using the Firewire Target Mode - reformat the new drive and copy the whole old drive to the new (WILL THE AUTHORIZATIONS WORK THIS WAY?)
