All batch processes with Automator in Photos.app end with OSStatus error -50

I've tried using mouse, keyboard shortcuts or a combination thereof to batch edit my photos. The only command that works is arrow left/right to change image. Everything else, e.g. "add effect", "auto enhance", "move slider" results in "OSStatus error -50".

What's going on?
