I recently upgraded to High Sierra and noticed that it comes with the "feature" of no longer having "All Files" as a sidebar item in the Finder window. This was helpful as I would scan a document, find it there and then move it to the folder I wanted it in. 'Recents' does not facilitate this. I searched and found a way to find those files by creating a smart folder search which finds those newly scanned documents. However, when I move those to the appropriate folder, it now reflects the original and the newly transferred file in the smart folder making it unwieldy in that folder. I tried excluding the new location using "document container" does not match "excluded folder", but that does not change the results. My research indicates the "document container" criteria may only work for the iCloud Drive. Is there a way to exclude a specific folder when a transfer is made from the search term? Is there hope of brining back the simply "All files" which worked perfectly? Thanks.
