All files in finder

I deleted this off the side thinking it would get rid of the option (as i don't like it) however all it did was delete it from the list and still opens to all files in default. If i go onto something else like documents, and want to get back onto all files, i have to close finder and reopen it. anyone know how to get it back into the list, or remove it all together.

Finder menu > Preferences > Sidebar. Check or uncheck "All My Files."

Under the "General" tab, you can choose what new Finder windows show (the default in Lion is "All My Files").
