All notifications silent in iOS26?

After updating I immediately noticed that all my notifications are now silent. Sound settings are all set as normal. I get vibrations, which I previously did not have enabled, but no sound.

Is this a common problem? There is at least one other person in the iOS26 bugs thread experiencing this.

I’m using a regular iPhone 15. I tried rebooting a couple times, but that didn’t help.
 
bad thing is... whenever i reboot it automatically puts the phone in silent...
so i have to do the trick again! definitely a bug!

Same headache,

* been through sounds and notification setup screens,
* reset everything
* put things back
* put things back to customs
* had to toggle silent switch on side of phone multiple times to turn off silent mode

And now I get notification sounds on Messaging, SOMETIMES!

This is a real mess of an update
 
iPhone 11, same issue with no notification sounds. After rebooting, sounds appear, but after a while, everything goes silent again. I downgraded to iOS 18, and no more problems.
