TODAY, I was trying to update the Zune software with my updated collection for the first time in a long time. I had my Music folder from my OS X as a shared folder for XP to access. It was working. I made a lot of edits to the library to get it to work in Zune properly, then wanted to just get rid of the whole collection and re-add everything.

So I removed the Music folder as a shared folder, tried to add it again, and it comes up with an error saying "CAN'T ADD: Either the path isn't valid or the folder is restricted. To add the folder, check the path or move your media to an existing monitored folder."

Um, okay.

I uninstalled the Zune software, installed the newest version, still doesn't work. I removed Music as a shared folder in VMWare Fusion, then re-added it. Still doesn't work. I changed the permissions from Read-only to Read & Write. Still doesn't work.

Um, okay.

I don't really get why it all of a sudden stopped working, but I need to be able to share between the two unless Microsoft decides to finally make some Mac Zune software.

Any advice?

EDIT: I just opened up the Music folder in VMWare Fusion and opened up a random mp3 file, and it plays in the Zune software. It actually plays. But still, when I try to add Music as a shared folder, it says it can't access it. What?
