im going to install the iOS5 GM(this is the same OS that will be out next week officially right? nothing will change)

and i see that the jailbreak is already out for it

so i wanna get a head start and just be done with it

my question is all the regular cydia tweaks work?

sbsettings
weathericon
colorkeyboard
infinifolders
SMS GV Extension
fakeoperator

mywi
liveclock
springflash
3gunrestrictor
bitesms
manualcorrect
safari uploader
airvideoenabler
covert
snappy - i think is is much faster than the offical apple lockscreen camera

and the most important one

fakeclockup

can somebody comfirm if all these are working

FakeClockUp is working, but I don't see it in the setting menu. I guess it's just on the default 2.0x

I'm still on 4.1, I'm not gonna screw up my jailbreak until I know all my tweaks work (no matter how long it takes):

  • Activator
  • Andriod Recent Apps
  • App Switcher Volume
  • AppInfo
  • attachment for Mail
  • Backgrounder
  • BadgeClear
  • Barrel
  • biteSMS
  • BytaFont
  • Callbar
  • CleanStatus
  • Cyntact
  • FastSnap
  • Gridlock
  • iBlacklist
  • Iconoclasm
  • iFile
  • Infinifolders
  • Mail Enhancer
  • MakeItMine
  • Mark Read
  • MobileLog
  • Move2Unlock
  • Navigate from Maps
  • No "Slide to unlock" text
  • NoSpot
  • Notification GriP
  • Notified Pro
  • OpenNotifier
  • OpenSSH
  • Quick Dismiss
  • QuitUnexpectedly
  • Remove Recents
  • Safari Download Manager
  • SBSettings
  • Scrobbl
  • SnoozeOrStop
  • SnowCover4
  • SpringFlash
  • StatusTweak
  • StayOpened
  • SwitcherMod
  • SwicherPlus
  • Vmoji-More+
  • Winterboard

Ditto. I'm not sold on the cloud and music match is meh IMO. Still sitting on 4.3.3

If I install the GM on my iPhone, will all the iCloud stuff be kept when it officially goes live next Wednesday, or will it all be reset? And will it be easily updated to the next version (5.0.1, let's say), or will you need to install the public version of 5.0 first?

Are these must have cydia apps for everyone?

I just need to know if FakeClockUp is compatible and what repo is it on!?

Yes. Search for the repo.

Tweaks I have tried to work on iOS 5 GM:

1. MyWi (latest version)

2. SBSettings (Version 5. something; add repo: http://thebigboss.org/ios5beta)

3. BBsettings

4. Fakeclockup

5. Dimmer

6. Cydelete

PS: 1. Remove Background SBSettings toggle does NOT work with iOS 5 or the latest beta version of SBSettings.

2. InfiniDock not compatible. It almost messed up my JB.

I'm looking to use more cydia tweaks, can you list the most important ones or the ones that you use the most.
Um, to be honest; Callbar, OpenNotifier + Notification GriP, & biteSMS.

I don't play with my phone too much, nor do too many people keep in contact so usually my phone just lies there.

Besides the SBSettings toggle for Remove Background that iPagan said doesn't work, I also found that Infinifolders doesn't work for me either. I kept getting in a loop of being in Safe Mode. Even after I removed it, I was still in that loop. I had to restore and re-jailbreak.

I was in the same loop of Safe Mode as you, after I installed InfiniDock and then removed it. I lucked out: I didn't have to restore; I only re-JBed and reinstalled Cydia.
