All pictures taken from iPhone are in landscape form

When I try to transfer pictures from my iPhone to my computer, they all appear in landscape mode, and it will not let me rotate them. What can I do to be able to rotate them?

If you're on Windows, it can do that natively. Or you can get a Windows program like Irfanview that will rotate losslessly.
