Hi,

I recently upgraded to iTunes 9.1.1.

After plugin in my iPhone I realized that some weird stuff was going on. I.E., iTunes asked me if I wanted to transfer all my iPhone purchases back to iTunes (I never buy iPhone Apps outside iTunes). After letting it SYNC again (iTunes copied all iPhone APPs back to iTunes) I noticed that my iTunes' podcast list was empty.

Further investigation in showing me that files are there (~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Podcasts) but they are not showing in iTunes. I get a screen offering to show me some podcast videos & tutorials).

So, my question is:

1. Is there a way to rebuild iTunes database to see if that fixes the issue?
2. If #1 is not possible. How can I import my podcast list back?

Thanks a lot in advance.

I just had the same problem. I solved it by going down to the Playlists section to where I found "podcasts." Everything was there. I selected all and dragged and dropped into the "podcasts" in the Library section. Presto--podcasts restored.

It is annoying to have to tweak itunes after an upgrade.
