Hi all,
I have an older macbook. I can't remember the specs right now since I'm at school and not on my personal computer. However, I was thinking about getting in on the fry's RAM deal.
My question is: if my computer can only read 2gb of ram, is there anything wrong with putting it all in 1 slot? can it access all of it from the same stick?
sorry if this is a totally lame question!

Sounds like you have an original first gen as I do. Yes it's ok to put a 2GB chip in one slot and leave the other blank. Don't put 2GB in one and anything in the second slot or your MB won't boot because it has a 2GB max.

The best case scenario would have been a 2GB kit (2 x 1GB).
