I wonder if all these returns due to micro (so called) defects will raise iPhone's prices. iPhone's price will always be $199/$299 so maybe no effect there.

But, is that why a single piece of plastic--dock--must cost whopping $30? ;):confused::eek:
 
There are so many reasons why the answer is "no."

1. Because a million people already bought them, and plenty are still waiting
2. Because there would be mass outrage for those above, all of the Black iPhone users would then demand a refund
3. It would be Apple acknowledging it even more. Let's face it, the forum and tech sites know that it is a problem, but if Apple lowered the price as a response to a defect, it would be on the front page of CNN - talk about PR massacre.
