All Apple really needs to do is allow the iPhone apps that use microphones to be installed on the iPod Touch (currently, you can't install iPhone apps on the iPod Touch). Has anyone seen one yet?

Edit:
Spectrum
works, and as far as I know it is the only one.

Ok, here's the deal. Yes it will work, but you can't install it yet. Unfortunately, it is still tagged as an 'iphone' app, but not an iPod Touch app. iTunes 8 blocks you from installing iphone only apps on your iPod Touch.

So if you can get it to install, it will work.

So is it just apps that are sold in the iPhone area? In other words the Apple store slaps on a tag, it isn't necessarily the program itself. Or do iPhone programs use some other route to get mic sound?

Has anyone jumped a program from the iPhone side to the iPT side?

If you follow the iTunes link I gave you to that app, you can see in the description that it wasn't meant to be compatable with iPod Touch, they just obviously forgot to tag it as such (it says iPod Touch further down under compatibility). This would suggest that the current mic. apps just need to have tags added adding iPod Touch to the compatibility list.

Hip, hip...!?
