New photos of an alleged iPhone part leak appeared online this morning offering another possible indication that Apple's upcoming 2017 range of iPhones will be available in just three colors. The images were shared by Benjamin Geskin and depict two iPhone SIM card trays in gold and silver, purportedly destined for Apple's so-called "iPhone 8".

Geskin's tweet refers to previous rumors suggesting Apple will offer the "iPhone 8" - as well its companion devices, the iPhone 7s and the iPhone 7s Plus - in silver, gold, and black (not shown).

The three colors were first mentioned in early August by notable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and appeared to line up with dummy model images that were circulating at the time, albeit with a question mark remaining over the copper-tinged appearance of the gold model, described by the dummy leaker as "champagne gold".

A couple of weeks later, Geskin claimed the internal name for the unusual-looking color was "Blush Gold" and offered his own OLED iPhone render to give an idea of its appearance.

Following today's emergence of sim tray photos, Geskin later shared another comped image offering a comparison of the copper-like tint compared to previous gold iPhone options.

The new color has divided observers, with some calling it the "Zune option", referring to Microsoft's much-maligned brown music player. Still, it's hard to know for sure how the so-called "Blush Gold" color will appear in natural light, if indeed Apple plans to offer it instead of its traditional Rose Gold or Gold colors.

Apple is expected to offer the new iPhones in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities at $999, $1099, and $1199 price points, respectively. those prices are wrong, every mac or ipad pro, when you want to go from 256 ssd to 512 you pay extra 200$ and NOT 100$

Seeing it in better lighting situations might be more helpful in judging it, although I hope it doesn’t change drastically with light like rose gold or certain space grays.

That's what I was thinking. Given its likely Blush Gold, it slightly resembles the current Gold color if a camera flash was used.

Excited to see new colours. This one seems refined.

Are their materials that will look the same under all lightning conditions? Sounds near impossible.

I take it Gold and Rose Gold didnt sell well enough so they merged it into one?

Tim Cook announced on a shareholder call that they were increasing production of Gold models, then released Gold and/or Rose Gold models of almost every product after that. So I wonder what indications there are to suggest poor sales. Another deduction is that new colours sell well, so make new colours.

Edit :- I think this confirms the Blush Gold color is happening. I am eagerly waiting to see how it will look like in person. If it came with black front it will be my first choice ;-)

Lol how thirsty are you that you need to link your own post and say it’s already been talked about? MR isn’t monitoring every tweet in the world 24/7 guy.

Yeah, i think apple has someting up his sleave for the white one, though.
So the only black front will be the one with the black back?
I don' t believe that.
I have a feeling apple could launch one that is all white, later on, that has ceramic sides and perhaps even a ceramic back.
But for now, i think there will be one with a black front and black sides and back, and you can pick if you want white or black front with the silver and gold version.
I personally hope there won' t be a white front at all.
So less choice in color of the body of the phone, but more choice by giving the option to choose the white/black front. So it will still give us 5 different looks to choose from.
Just like the iphone 7( minus the product red option) has 5 different color combinations to choose from.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "iPhone 8" doesn't have a sim tray at all.

The Watch 3 with LTE will for sure be sim-less. So with contracts and infrastructure for that in place, it should not be a big step to finally get rid of the meanwhile useless sim-card in the phone..

Seems the annual tradition of SIM tray leaks continues.

Blush gold is looking better and better.

I have no doubt that if they do release a new color, many people will loudly complain that it's horrible, upon release, and many many more will line up to buy it.

If I were Apple, I'd carefully/selectively leak "news" of a spectrum of different colors, internally each year, one color per group, and then watch which colors get out to the public. Rinse/repeat, to track down leaks. Indeed, it seems like, aside from the little matter (ahem) of the HomePod firmware, precious little has leaked from Apple itself this year - it's all been prototype parts from the manufacturing plants.
