I exhausted the monthly data allowance on Provider 1 set as primary. I also have Airalo eSim turned on and allow cellular data switching on but iPhone data doesn't work. I switched to Airalo as primary and it works fine. How do I troubleshoot this? If a web browser can't load a page, iPhone should have a way to switch to Airalo but it's not doing that

Also, is there way to simply allow FaceTime Audio calls on cellular but not Video? That's what ran down my data allowance

Thanks

Checking again on this - does switching only work when one providers network is completely unavailable versus the situation. I am in where the primary network is available, but it wouldn't pass any data because I have exhausted the monthly data limit.

From my experience, data switching only works when there is no signal on the primary line. I use this when I'm abroad. I can turn off roaming on my primary line and it displays SOS and then the data on the second line takes over to allow the primary line to be on wifi calling.

I think your best option is to switch the primarily data source manually when you run out of data on your primary line.

As for FaceTime, I think it is all or nothing. You can go to Settings > Apps > FaceTime and then on/off cellular data. This is all I can see.
