Hello,

Using Firefox as my Browser.
Good idea ?

Have run across this situation when some programs, etc. I have downloaded
from a source I trust won't allow me to open it up.

Get the following msg's:

Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the App Store and identified developers.
“rtl_tcp” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

Not sure if it is a msg from Firefox, or from the Mac OS, or...?

How do I allow these, please ?

Regards,
Bob

This is due to your security settings.
To bypass this, open System Preferences and click Security & Privacy. Change "Allow apps downloaded from" to Anywhere.

Hi,

Thanks for help.
I am running Mojave.

There is no "allow APPS downloaded from Anywhere" that I can find.

There is however: "Allow apps downloaded from:
App store and identified developers"
I set this to ON.

However, I still keep getting that can't open error msg.

Any other thoughts on ?

Thanks again,
Bob
