Took a look at this guy today at the Santa Monica Macmall and almost pulled the trigger... For the price, it almost made me do it. But I couldn't justify it knowing we may be looking at not only a processor refresh, but a complete redesign of the 15"... :(

How good of a deal is this?

Order online and with the AppleInsider discount, it's better:

Or the 17 Inch:

It's very, very tempting. Either one is one hell of a deal and you really can't go wrong. The 17 inch is the absolute, hands-down best value.

They even have an Anti-Glare and upgraded 2.3 GHz CPU (AKA Early-2011 Ultimate Model):

Just bought it

I just purchased that exact model from MacMall this week. I didn't know about the apple insider discount, but after talking to a rep on the phone she gave it to me for $1590. After looking at the specs I decided this model was still perfect for what I needed and no need to wait for the refresh and pay over $2000 for it. So far I love it! Now I'm trying to decide if I want the Apple Cinema Display to run dual monitors with my MBP or try another monitor.

Congratulations. You made a very wise purchase.

Not only is that an excellent model, but the deal you got is just outstanding. :)
