Can't wait 'til WWDC (Like everyone else) It's that time again to predict the order in which things are presented. My guess? It'll just be like WWDC '09:

  1. New Macbook(s)
  2. Mountain Lion
  3. iOS 6
  4. iCloud
  5. iPhone? -had to put it in just in case, so calm down.
 
Im really hoping for new MacBooks, I would definitely pick one up. I hoping the iOS6 previews has some refresh in overall UI. While I think its still the best out there, the overall look hasn't changed since its introduction. Maybe at least a home screen with real widgets.

Anyone think apple TV might be mentioned? Im sure no products but there has been a fair amount of Buzz.
 
They really need to revamp iOS UI, also apple needs to keep iOS6 away from Mountain Lion.

bet you a buck it won't happen. I just get this feeling it will be more of the same with the new iphone being a bit taller, but also, more of the same.

This year will tell the tail, that's for sure. :eek:
 
More hope.......

Adding a little bit of hope to an iPhone release, here's the PR that came out the week before WWDC 09:

"A team of Apple executives, led by Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, will deliver the keynote. WWDC will offer in-depth sessions on both iPhone™ OS 3.0, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, and Mac OS® X Snow Leopard™, an even more powerful and refined version of the world’s best desktop operating system and the foundation for future Mac® innovation."

No where, in the excerpt I extracted, is the iPhone 3GS mentioned nor the updated 15" Macbook Pro. So if a PR comes out this week and the iPhone- or even the new MacBook Pros- is the mentioned, don't be discouraged. Apple will surprise us no matter what. Don't forget what company we're talking about here.

I hope you're right, because at this point it's looking more like an iPhone 4GS than 5.

You're missing one thing, iOS 3.0 keynote was held in March 2009.

First there is a keynote then there is the hardware announcement.

You cannot have two ticks and one tock, it's against the whole concept of tick-tock.

True, True but like I said earlier, nobody will never know what Apple will do until the exact day- we will all be surprised and happy no matter what. They can do whatever they feel like and all those people who defend the past and "usual pattern" will eat their own words if a phone is announced.
Apple has sort of gone a little out of the usual lately (even when Jobs was still around) and we still haven't received a concrete pattern like we used to have two years ago. That is why I honestly can't say there can't be a phone introduction despite the circumstances and conflicts revolving the rumored phone.

I really hope those are placeholder names for the rumor community- not actual names the company will use. I believe- whether it's announced next week or in October- that it'll be called iPhone. Just iPhone.
