Adding a little bit of hope to an iPhone release, here's the PR that came out the week before WWDC 09:
"A team of Apple executives, led by Philip Schiller, Apples senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, will deliver the keynote. WWDC will offer in-depth sessions on both iPhone OS 3.0, the worlds most advanced mobile operating system, and Mac OS® X Snow Leopard, an even more powerful and refined version of the worlds best desktop operating system and the foundation for future Mac® innovation."
No where, in the excerpt I extracted, is the iPhone 3GS mentioned nor the updated 15" Macbook Pro. So if a PR comes out this week and the iPhone- or even the new MacBook Pros- is the mentioned, don't be discouraged. Apple will surprise us no matter what. Don't forget what company we're talking about here.
