Tonight, the wife and I were gonna head to the Apple Store and pick up my new Mac Pro (EDU discount from the wife). However, she got home late so i'm still typing this with my Dell :(.

I hope to join your ranks next week !!! Its a shame too, I just talked myself into picking the Mac Pro over the Macbook Pro. Now if they release an updated MBP, the headaches will start all over again :(.

Maybe I won't go online or watch TV for the week so I can just run into the store next weekend, buy the Mac Pro and jet out :)

Gunga Din (great poem), Welcome to the wonderful world of Mac Pro ownership. You will either:

A. spend the rest of your entire life or the next two years (whichever comes first), being incredibly happy to be so lucky and getting on with your computing life. Or:

B. Spend the rest of your life or next two years (whichever comes first) pulling your hair out in anxiety over Apple's inability to provide 657 different video card upgrade options.

I'm in the first camp, in case it wasn't too obvious. :^)

2.8 base model 8-core, w/airport card installed.

I don't know if they deliver on a holiday, but I'll basically be getting my machine at the same time. Apple quoted me delivery on Jan. 22nd, but FedEx says Jan. 23rd.
