Shame it's the Italian version though, £62 with 8 days remaining  I can see this easily hitting the £200 mark, and probably a lot more.

MB really should re-release this bad boy. ;) :D

Rinky dink link

Thoughts?

Looks nice but £200? seriously?

REALLY good ones frequently hit the ton mark, a still shrink wrapped one should double that, the only think that might hold it back (to the UK market) is that it's the Italian version... even then, this is the first factory fresh one I've seen since they were last sold in the shops back in the very early '80's.

I loved my BigTrak as a kid.
I was so gutted when I miss calculated the length of the hallway and sent it down the stairs on to the quarry tile floor below! :(

It's not grail-shaped.
These days that thing wouldn't last 15 secs in a robowar tournament. :p

The times sure have changed for what is expected for that toy segment these days, and a flame thrower is a good start. :D

I remember these, they were the best electronic thing around for a season or two. Although, even then they might have been a little too expensive and I was in High School at the time and was more interested in other things.

Very cool stuff....

And what makes it different being the Italian version? Instruction manual all in Italian?

D

Wow

I had totally forgotten about those...I had one when I was a kid. Lots of fun! I seem to remember having some sort of dump truck attachment, too...

Basically... ;) they were a right b*stard to program though, so you'll probably need the English instructions. heheh.

That said, the U.S. versions were a completely different colour (grey instead of white). ;)

Was this primarily a UK toy? I honestly don't remember them. Of course if it was the eraly 80's I would have been in my late teens, was I too old?

Hit Ebay and found this that all may be interested in.

linky

Instead of searching for Big trak I searched for bigtrak instead. Comes with the dumptruck and it is only 20

£205... so I was bang on the money then. :D

Anyway, I'm off to email Hasbro/MB and demand that they reissue these things... :D they're missing a trick by the looks of it. ;) :D
