i called att and they said to leave it tethered?
if i already activated it via itunes with my .mac account,
why dont i have service?

everything else works, anyone else having the same problem?

Yes, If you look at everyother thread, people seem to be experiencing the same thing. I just hope by the time I get home from work I will be able to activate it with no problems :). Let's just hope apple resolves the issue by then.

Happy waiting.

I've got the exact same issue atm.

Activated when I got home from work, synced it up, and I still have "No Service".

My old iphone still has service, and can make/receive calls, though.

I had this issue before switching SIM cards, not sure if I was supposed to or not, but 3G symbol is displayed and SIM card from original iphone stated 3G.

I had the same problem, called at&t and they fixed it for me, it was the ICCID number and iphone activations was the department.
