Can't believe it! I had my 3g for 18 months and not a single scratch. And i dropped that on pavements etc. Yet my iPhone 4 drops off of the coffee table and wallah a scratch two inch's long... So much for the new improved screen... I'm devastated!

I'll see what i can do but the best camera i have access to at the moment is my iPhone.... I'll see if my isight can pick it up.

edit:
Nope it looks perfect via that camera which is just a taunt lol

I've always had my iphones naked, but looks like im going to have to get a front and back protector and a case for this now

I realize that accidents happen, but c'mon.. you let your new phone fall off the coffee table? That's a bit careless if you ask me.

Enjoy your scratch.

youve only had the phone for a max of like what 2 days? and you already dropped it? you dont deserve to have it.

It wasn't even my fault that it fell. It was safely on there and the missus shoved some magazines to the side to make room for the remote and it was knocked off...

But it's not Apples fault that it fell off, now is it? I'm guessing it fell onto a hard floor?

Alright people, give the guy a break. Accidents happen. Although, he may want to look into an upgrade in the spouse department. ;):D

I wasnt blaming apple it was simply a "Fml" moment. I cant believe how unlucky i am considering my scratchless 3G.

I thought it could possibly branch out into a conversation about other peoples experiences over the next week or so to see how it holds up to the old screens but instead your slating me? What exactly are you gaining from that...

Buy an iPhone table.

A coffee table is for coffee.

;)

Steve: Today... we're introducing THREE revolutionary new products....
A revolutionary table. A breakthrough stained wood colour. And a widescreen touch iPod.

I'm a student of Birmingham University. I am currently visiting relatives in Southwest Wales. I dont lug everything i have with me everytime i go away for a week or so.

It's happened to me before. I remember the time I got my first razr phone. It slipped out of my hand and landed on my shoe -- which proceeded to drop kick it across the pavement.

Talk about your "character lines."

She needs to be your ex-missus by the end of the day. :)

If the scratch is not deep, you might be able to take it to a jeweler who can polish it out. They do that for watch crystals all the time.

Just a thought.

Originally i was going to keep my iPhone caseless. That's why I'm glad I decided to go with an invisible shield front/back (sides are still exposed). I just can't see these screen not scratching. Granted I hate IS at the 50% off it's worth another shot.

My main issue was with the old model of their product we'll see how this one holds up.

You guys are missing the point! This super amazing glass that they use on high speed trains and helicopters should not have scratched so easy!

Apple chose to make the durability of the glass a selling point!
