Already using Ip4, can I get unlimited plan by activating a 3g

I heard we can get unlimited data plan by activate an iPhone 2g. However, I only can borrow my friend's iPhone 3G. Can I get the unlimited data plan by activate the iPhone 3G on my line?

No, 3Gs can only get the $15/$25 plans.

New unlimited plans were phased out first week on June.

I BELIEVE you can still get the unlimited plan if you activate a first generation iPhone on your line. I may be wrong however.

Yes, this is the only way you can still get unlimited.

So, all I need to do is plugging in the iPhone 2g to my computer and using itune activate, choosing the unlimited plan and then replugging my iPhone 4?

The 2G had worse reception at launch than iPhone4, a software update fixed the 2G a few weeks after launch.
