Alright... DVD player not working.

So I am a happy camper, having just installed a nice Samsung SSD into my macbook pro, the laptop works like a charm.

However, I'm now in the situation where my dvd player in my enclosure will not work. I've looked everywhere for solutions and all the solutions take me back to "DVDplaybackframework"... which is something I don't have, maybe because I never used the DVD player app on my computer before taking it out of my laptop.

The dvd enclosure I bought will work just fine, but when the DVD player app launches to watch a video dvd, it will give me an error code. So I'm wondering if there is a fix without having to have that DVDplaybackframework.

I have DVD player 5.5

Any suggestions?

This happens to everyone as far as I know. My solution was just to use VLC

Yea, I read that. i guess it will have to do until I can find a solution to get the dvd player to start working again

I always had problems with the optical drive, such is why im glad to see it removed in the rMBP... less hardware that can go wrong...
