So, this might be a dumb question, but is this screen toast? My nephew dropped it from about two feet onto the rug, picked it up and this is what it looked like?

If I want to try to replace it, can anyone comment on these companies anyone having used them? Pricing for overnight repair seems pretty nice indeed.

That screen is toast. I actually stepped on my old Titanium G4 Powerbook and it looked exactly like that.

I have no experience with any of the repair companies though. It really wouldn't be worth it at this point because a good used one cost the same as the repair.
Alas it's in my storage though waiting for the day it gets fixed.

Good Luck !!:)

>>>>Hi there - just a quick note to let you know we've recently lowered our pricing on the Al PowerBook overnight screen replacement to $449. You'll get a 24-hour turnaround on the installation, a brand new screen and a 1 year warranty. Boy, that sounds like a commercial....sorry. Anyway, thought that the lower price point may help in your decision.
