Alt Key To Pick OS Screen Not Working

Has anyone experienced a problem after loading bootcamp where they were unable to invoke the OS menu screen holding down the Alt key at a restart? I'm unable to get the menu screen to select which OS to use at restart. The only way I can go into XP or back to OS X (when in XP) is to use the Disk Startup utility and manually select. Any ideas how to correct this problem?

I had something similar, but only when I was using a non-apple keyboard. Pressing alt+command (or alt+windows key) at boot did the trick for me.

I'm using the apple keyboard that came with my machine.

I don't know if it matters depending on the computer but holding down Option gives me the boot menu. I have never tried ALT. I hope this helped.

They are the same key.

Did the Option key used to work for you, or has it been this way since you first ran BootCamp?

I had a problem like this, try reseting your P-Ram (Command+Option+p+r) and if you have a SMC (should be a button on the inside of the computer right above the video card near the back).
