Hi, when I alt+tab between two most recently used apps/programs/windows, for example, between Safari and Preview. I opened two documents in Preview and whenever I alt+tab between Safari and Preview, I get the first opened window in Preview not the most recently viewed one. Is there some way to change this behaviour? Alt+tab in this configuration is pretty useless and slows things down a lot.

Assuming you mean Cmd+Tab, that shouldn't happen. Preview tabs back to the most recent window for me, and as far as I can remember it always has.

Do you use cmd-` to switch windows within an app? it is the app-local equivalent of cmd-tab. That might help in this case.

BTW - I am not able to repro this issue. When I open multiple windows in Preview or Safari and then cmd-tab between them. The window order does not change.

Figured it out finally. Cmd+Tab only works as intended if your windows are located on the same desktop.
